What food would you say is your specialty?

Hi, my name is Nasir from Indonesia.

It just so happens that my favorite specialty food is one that has a historical connection to my childhood.

My favorite regional specialty to this day is grilled, smoked snakehead fish cooked in coconut milk and keluwak sauce, chilies, tamarind, garlic, shallots, salt to taste, turmeric, and a little galangal.

The snakehead fish, with its black sauce from the keluwak, is eaten with rice or corn rice. It tastes amazing.

This dish is traditionally prepared by the people of the northern coast of Lamongan, Tuban, and Gresik, East Java, Indonesia.
